Campaign length is good with satisfying difficulty curve near the end.. Limited strategies available and small number of units. The (short) campaign mode is fine, but this is a skip if you're looking for more.. Bought this game when it was new, but recently got my key returned to me today. Put so many hours into this, not to set high scores or anything, but to dominate the Creeper entirely before moving on. Felt satisfying to completely clear the map before going to the next. There's a flashgame version online somewhere to try out if you're unsure of getting into the series. Treat it as a demo.Instead of swaying your opinion with text i suggest doing that first to see for yourself!. Welcome to the first of all the Creeper World games, An addicting, Fun, And really time consuming series, What can i say about this series apart from it being fun and awesome? I would do one of those really long messages explaining everything everything that's awesome about this, But I won't, Because I have to play.. Visually minimalistic but very, very deep strategy that doesn't feel too pressuring as time goes by. It can get quite relaxing later on once you've placed enough weapons to indefinitely keep the Creeper at bay until you decide to seize more of its territory.. Plan is to uninstall the game and never play it again.. A nice revamp of the original Creeper World. While it's still a little rough around the edges, and much slower than later games, this is the one that started it all. I remember first playing the demos on Kongregate, doing my best to outsmart the Creeper and figure out the best strategy to activate the totems and escape to the next world. Is it the best game out there? No, probably not. But it definitely is one of the best indie games I've ever played, and I've no regrets in picking it up in the Steam Autumn Sale. I might get bored with it in time, even with all the challenge maps and user created levels (not to mention the feature which creates a map based on the date you enter in!), but it'll last me a while yet. And I've still got two more games to go through! Three, if you count Particle Fleet.I definitely recommend giving this game a try. I don't know of any other strategy game out there like it. Fighting creeps and minions is one thing. But fighting a literal flood of pure destruction? I imagine if it hasn't been copied already, it's only because doing so would require more effort than most shovel-ware developers are willing to put in.Give it a try. Be careful, though. You might find it a bit addictive. You just might see the sunrise for the first time in years! (Unless you play Civilization a lot. Then for you, it's Tuesday.). The most fun I've had for $5 in a very long time. You know those "Oddly Satisfying" vids you find on Youtube? This. It is this given form in gameplay. Who knew that blasting infinite fountains of deadly ooze could be so good. There's even a mysterious little space opera story in there as well as a charming soundtrack.. This is a tower defense game with a different twist, the enemy is just a (generally) physics-correct liquid. Now, to be fair, I played Creeper World 3 first so there were some things that I was expecting that weren't in this game. That said, this game was quite good. I played through the campaign and it frustrated me that I didn't have access to reactors until so late in the campaign, though it does tend to make the game a bit more trivial once you get them. I think it's definitely worth a play, especially if you haven't played later iterations of the series yet. It's a great series, the campaign is fun, and I definitely recommend for people who are either fans of TD and looking for something a bit new or people who are interested in trying their first TD game.
